Advisory: Vehicle vs Pedestrian
On June 4th at 9:20 PM Officers with the Chubbuck Police Department and the Idaho State Police responded to the area of Hawthorne Road and Boyd Street in reference to a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway.
The pedestrian, a 31 year of age female, was transported by ambulance to PMC to care for her injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing however at this time all indications are that the pedestrian intentionally placed herself in traffic in an attempt to commit suicide.
Our thoughts are with the driver involved as well as the pedestrian at this time. We would also encourage anyone who is considering suicide to contact the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255 or www.idahosuicideprevention.org.For full details, view this message on the web. |
